Overview of Similan & Surin Islands – 7 Days Safari

Day 1- Fri: Departure

Around 17.30- 18.30: Pick up you from your hotel and transfer to Chalong Pier, Phuket.

Around 19.00- 20.00: Get on the board and sail to Similan Islands.

Listen to the briefing about diving spots and what to do or not. On board dinner will be served during your cruising to Similan Islands.

Day 2- Sat: Similan Islands (4 Dives)

Wake up in the early morning and take the first dive at Shark Fin Reef (Similan #3 – Koh Payan), where you can take easy drift. After breakfast, you will get some time to enjoy onboard activities. Start diving after lunch around West of Eden (Similan #7 – Koh Pabu). In the afternoon, perform your 3^rd at Anita’s Reef (Similan #5 – Koh Ha). Take some snacks after diving. Visit Koh Miang Beach and enjoy your strolling along the beach. Go for another night dive at Honeymoon Bay and see the underwater world in the dark. Get relaxed and stay overnight on a secluded bay.

Day 3- Sun: Similan Islands – Koh Bon (4 Dives)

Start the day with first dive around Similan at Deep Six and take your 2^nd dive near the giant boulder site, Elephant Head Rock (Hin Pusa). Enjoy your 3^rd dive around eastern side of Similan #9 Koh Bangu (Breakfast Bend / Three Trees / Snapper Alley). Get your 4^th dive at sunset or night around Koh Bon Bay. Enjoy your leisure time and stay overnight at Koh Bon.

Day 4-Mon: Koh Bon, Koh Tachai (4 Dives)

Koh Bon Pinnacle and Koh Bon West Ridge are the fantastic two dive points around Koh Bon Island. Explore these dive points for Manta Rays and other underwater beauties. MV Giamani will slowly move to Koh Tachai with your 3^rd dive for Tachai Pinnacle. Go for another dive around either eastern or western reef at evening depending on the wind. Visit Koh Tachai Beach and have a stroll. Enjoy on board funny game ‘what did I see today’. Maintain your logbook with your activities and stay overnight here.

Day 5- Tue: Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock

Get a dive at Koh Tachai Pinnacle and don’t miss the chance to see Manta Rays and even Whaleshark. Move to Richelieu Rock, the Jewel of the area. Take 3 dives including sunset dive around this area. Head to Surin Island for next day diving. Stay overnight at Surin.

Day 6- Wed:  Surin Island – Boonsung Wreck (3 Dives)

Get a morning dive at (Torinla Ridge or Koh Chi) around Surin island. Then get back to the main trail to Rechelliu Rock for another dive. Cruise to the Boonsung Wreck and do a night dive here. Stay overnight at Khao Lak.

Day 7: “The Teak Wreck” – “Condreco Wreck” (2 Dives)

Start your diving at rarely diving site “The Teak Wreck” (MV Sea Chart). See a Burmese steel haulage vessel that sank with 1200 logs of teak in 2009. The last dive for this tour will be taken at Naiyak Wreck (“Condreco”). The nice macro site of this area provides you the opportunity to enjoy marine beauty. Take your time for packing your essentials. Get relaxed at the deck and enjoy the cruising to Chalong, Phuket.

Disembark at Chalong Bay in Phuket usually around 17.00 hrs (05.00 pm) and continue with a transfer to your hotel or airport.

Note: Schedule and Itinerary depending on the weather conditions and the discretion of the Cruise Director and Captain and depends on currents, dive sites activities, light, objective, sailing times etc. The spots are possible, but not guaranteed.

Prices included:

Transfers to and from MV Giamani within Phuket Island, full board accommodation, all meals served onboard including snacks, softdrinks, drinking water, tea, towels, dinghy for onshore exploration and pick ups, tanks, weights and weight belts, professional Tour leader, Divemaster and Instructor, torch for the night dive, total of 22 dives.

Prices not included:

Any international or domestic airfare, National Marine Park fee* (payable on board),  rental diving equipment, Nitrox, PADI / SSI Diving courses, alcoholic beverages, Tip, diving insurance** or travel insurance***

* Similan & Surin National Park Fees

• 500 Baht for entry into the Similans or Surin (divers and non-divers) plus…
• 200 Baht per diver per day

Example for above trip:
Entry fee for Similan 500 THB + Surin 500 THB = 1.000 THB
Diving Fee for 6 days: 6 x 200 THB = 1.200 THB
Total (payable on board) 2.200 THB
